Let’s talk about domestic violence in LGBTQ+ relationships.

Most research conducted on domestic violence in Canada focuses on heterosexual relationships, leaving out a vast number of couples. LGBTQ+ couples face a similar prevalence of domestic violence as heterosexual relationships, and yet there are less resources available to these survivors. Even with the limited number of resources available, some LGBTQ+ people may fear judgement or shame for seeking help.

Visit the CCMF-York website for more information about confidential, inclusive, and non-judgemental counselling.
