The “Children Need Both Parents” Bill

As the National Parents Organization states, “continued and frequent contact” is not enough to ensure children’s full capacity to gain love and support of both parents after a separation. Bills that allow both parents equal time, responsibility and decision-making rights are what children need to thrive. If both parents provide a safe, responsible, and caring environment for their children, why do courts so often grant primary custody to only one?
