The Importance of Fathers: Effective Tips and Strategies

It has been long established that fathers play a significant role in their children’s lives. This one-hour workshop will provide you with some effective strategies and tips on fathering and ways to strengthen family dynamics and relationships. Bottom line – children’s and parents’ well-being are the foundation to positive development. Spend one hour discussing ways to navigate difficult and negative “terrains” and positive ways of moving forward. The session will also allow for fathers to pose questions. Let’s chat!

 

Dr. Susan S. Chuang, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor at the University of Guelph. Her primary research expertise include fathering, parenting, family dynamics and relationships, child/youth development, and mental health. She has published numerous articles and chapters, edited books and a human development textbook. She has conducted numerous volunteer parenting and youth workshops and has advised (for free) well over 100 families.
