How to recognize when men are in domestic abuse situations, how to support them, and how to assist them in finding the resources they need.
More and more men who are in abusive relationships are coming forward seeking help and many more men who are in abusive relationships either don’t recognize it or are uncomfortable asking for help due to social taboos.
We speak to men every day who are living in guilt and shame not wanting anyone to know what’s happening to them or men who have shared their pain with someone and have been told to “man up”, “walk it off” or “what did you do to cause it” (ie victim blaming). These men need help.
Canadian Center for Men and Families-York Region is excited to present a 90 minute free webinar that will assist anyone who is in contact with men to understand how to recognize when men are in domestic abuse situations, how to support them, and how to assist them in finding the resources they need.
